# MANGA MANUSCRIPT: "RE:START — THE LOOSER'S CRUCIBLE" ## CHAPTER 1: The Flawless Mask ### **Character Visual Profiles (Manga Color Pages)** * **Ren (Bosh Qahramon):** 14 years old, short stature (158 cm), thin but deceptively dense frame. He has pale white skin and sharp, intensely black hair that sticks straight up in defiant spikes—so coarse and unruly that no comb can ever tame it. He wears his school uniform with the sleeves pulled completely down past his wrists to hide his constantly sweating palms. His eyes are usually downcast and melancholic, but they spark with genius when solving equations. * **Daiki (The Loyal Friend):** 14 years old, tall and lanky with a slight, healthy tan (a bit more yellowish/sun-kissed compared to Ren's pale skin). He has messy, dark blond (mallasoch) hair and wears stylish, rectangular glasses. He has an energetic, warm smile and is always looking out for Ren. * **Yuka (The Class Idol):** 14 years old, classic Japanese manga art style (black-and-white ink aesthetic). She has flawlessly smooth, shoulder-length black hair with perfectly trimmed bangs, large innocent-looking eyes, and a radiant, gentle smile that completely masks the cruel, dark heart underneath. ## CHAPTER 1 SCREENPLAY / MANGA PANEL SCRIPT ### **PAGE 1 (Color Spread)** **Panel 1:** A wide shot of the school gymnasium. The lighting is bright and cheerful. Sunlight pours through the high windows. **Panel 2:** Close-up on a metal pull-up bar. A pair of hands is gripping it tightly. Curiously, the hands are wrapped in a thin layer of moisture, reflecting the gym lights. **Panel 3:** Ren is pulling his chin way above the bar. His spiked black hair defies gravity as his body moves up and down effortlessly. * **SFX:** *Swoosh... Swoosh...* **Panel 4:** Daiki is standing below the bar, holding a clipboard, counting with a massive grin on his face. * **Daiki:** "...11... 12... and 13! Visual lock! Man, your muscle efficiency makes absolutely no sense, Ren!" ### **PAGE 2 (Monochrome / Standard Manga Ink Style)** **Panel 1:** Ren drops down from the bar, landing perfectly on his feet. He looks slightly tired, but his pale face has a rare, genuine smile. He immediately pulls his school uniform sleeves over his palms. * **Ren:** "It’s just mechanical leverage, Daiki. If you calculate the weight-to-strength ratio, anyone our height could do it." **Panel 2:** Daiki slaps Ren playfully on the back, adjusting his glasses with his other hand. * **Daiki:** "Yeah, yeah, Mr. National Exam Rank #1. Don't hit me with physics. Let's get to the classroom before the homeroom bell rings." **Panel 3:** A transition shot of the classroom. The blackboard is covered in incredibly complex mathematical equations. The teacher is staring at the board, completely stuck. **Panel 4:** The teacher turns to the class, sweating. * **Teacher:** "Uh... can anyone solve the variance for the third variable?" ### **PAGE 3** **Panel 1:** The entire class is looking down, terrified of being called. In the very back row, next to the window, Ren is staring out at the falling cherry blossoms, looking bored. **Panel 2:** Close-up of Ren’s desk. His hand is holding a mechanical pencil, but beneath his hand, the notebook paper is slightly wrinkled and damp from his sweat. **Panel 3:** Ren speaks up without even looking at the board. * **Ren:** "The variance is x = \sqrt{27.4}. The teacher forgot to invert the matrix in step four." **Panel 4:** The teacher checks his notes, his eyes widening in shock. The students whisper in awe. * **Student 1 (Whispering):** "Woah, the 'Human Calculator' strikes again..." * **Student 2 (Whispering):** "He's a freak... did you see his hands? They're always slick." ### **PAGE 4** **Panel 1:** School bell rings. **SFX:** *BRRRRIIIING!* Students are packing their bags. Ren is sitting quietly, wiping his wet palms with a hidden tissue under his desk. **Panel 2:** A shadow falls over Ren's desk. He looks up. It’s Yuka, the most beautiful girl in the school. She is smiling down at him, hands folded behind her back. * **Yuka:** "Um... Ren-kun? Do you have a minute?" **Panel 3:** Ren freezes. His pale cheeks turn a bright, sudden crimson. His spiked hair seems to jitter with nervousness. * **Ren:** "Y-Yuka-san? What's wrong?" **Panel 4:** Yuka leans in closer, slipping a small, beautifully folded pink note onto his desk. * **Yuka:** "I've been watching you for a long time... Your mind, your strength... it's amazing. Can you meet me at the old, abandoned park behind the school at 5:00 PM? Please don't tell anyone." ### **PAGE 5** **Panel 1:** Yuka turns and walks away, waving cheerfully. Ren stares at the note, his heart pounding so hard it can be heard. **SFX:** *Thump-Thump!* **Panel 2:** Daiki slides over, leaning over Ren’s shoulder, his glasses reflecting the light. * **Daiki:** "Holy crap, Ren! The school idol just asked you out?! Is your un-combable hair finally paying off?!" **Panel 3:** Ren holds the note tightly, his face glowing with pure, unadulterated happiness. For the first time in his life, he feels like he isn't a ghost. He feels alive. * **Ren:** "I... I can't believe it, Daiki. Maybe... maybe my life is finally changing." **Panel 4:** The final panel of the chapter. Ren walks out of the school gates into the evening sunset, clutching the note. But the sky in the distance is turning dark, and heavy storm clouds are rolling in, symbolizing the nightmare that awaits him in Chapter 2. ### What happens next? This sets the stage perfectly! Chapter 1 builds him up as a happy, respected genius, making the brutal trap, the betrayal by Yuka, and the anxiety attack in Chapter 2 and 3 hit the reader ten times harder. The next chapter **Chapter 2: The Rainy Ambush**!
