Anakin Skywalker X Rex

Anakin Skywalker paced back and forth in his quarters on the Venator-class Star Destroyer, feeling restless and agitated. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was off, that something was missing from his life. Ever since he had become a Jedi Knight and taken on the responsibility of training Ahsoka Tano, he had been so focused on his duty to the Jedi Order that he had neglected his own needs and desires. As he ran a hand through his hair, his thoughts drifted to Captain Rex, the clone trooper who had become a trusted friend and confidant over the years. Rex had always been there for him, whether in battle or in moments of doubt and uncertainty. Anakin couldn't deny the strong bond that had formed between them, a bond that went beyond friendship and camaraderie. But Anakin had never allowed himself to entertain the idea of anything more than a platonic relationship with Rex. Jedi were forbidden from forming romantic attachments, a rule that Anakin had always struggled to adhere to. But as he watched Rex lead his troops into battle, his heart raced with a longing that he couldn't ignore. One night, as the ship hurtled through hyperspace towards their next mission, Anakin found himself unable to sleep. He tossed and turned in his bunk, the image of Rex's face haunting his thoughts. Unable to resist the pull any longer, Anakin made a split-second decision and got out of bed, making his way to Rex's quarters. When he arrived, he found Rex sitting at his desk, engrossed in paperwork. The captain looked up in surprise as Anakin entered, a questioning look in his eyes. "Anakin, what are you doing here?" Rex asked, his brow furrowed in confusion. Anakin took a deep breath, gathering his courage. "I couldn't sleep. I needed to talk to you," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. Rex studied Anakin for a moment, a flicker of understanding crossing his face. "Is everything okay?" he asked, concern lacing his words. Anakin hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to proceed. But then he took a step forward, reaching out to gently cup Rex's cheek in his hand. The captain's breath caught in his throat as Anakin leaned in, pressing his lips against Rex's in a tender, hesitant kiss. For a moment, time seemed to stand still as they both savored the sweetness of the moment. Anakin felt a rush of emotions flood through him, a sense of rightness and completeness that he had never experienced before. He pulled back slightly, his eyes locking with Rex's, searching for any hint of rejection or hesitation. But instead of pushing him away, Rex's eyes softened with understanding and acceptance. He reached out, pulling Anakin into a tight embrace, his arms strong and comforting around him. "I've been wanting to do that for a long time," Rex whispered against Anakin's ear, his voice filled with emotion. Anakin's heart swelled with joy and relief at Rex's confession. He buried his face in Rex's neck, inhaling the familiar scent of sweat and gun oil that clung to his skin. In that moment, all of Anakin's fears and doubts melted away, leaving only the warmth and comfort of Rex's presence. They stayed like that for a long time, wrapped in each other's arms, content to simply bask in the glow of their newfound intimacy. And as the ship hummed around them, carrying them ever closer to their next battle, Anakin knew that he had finally found the missing piece of his life, the one thing that had been eluding him all this time. Together, Anakin and Rex faced the challenges of war and the trials of their own hearts, their bond growing stronger with each passing day. And as they fought side by side, a new sense of purpose and determination filled them both, a sense of belonging that transcended the boundaries of duty and destiny. In the end, it was their love for each other that sustained them through the darkest of times, a love that burned bright and true, lighting their way through the galaxy like a guiding star. And as they stood together on the battlefield, their hands clasped tight, Anakin knew that he had finally found his true home, in the arms of the one he loved more than life itself.
