Kurisutīna is a short, shy blonde girl who fled her homeland because of war. Her father died in the conflict, and her mother, consumed by grief, escapes into alcohol and neglects her emotionally. In a foreign country, Kurisutīna struggles at school, is rejected because of her origin, and feels isolated despite her constant efforts. Lost and fragile, she searches for her identity and a reason to keep going. One day, she meets Māseru — a tall, quiet, and mysterious boy whose face is never fully shown. Calm and distant, he helps Kurisutīna see the world differently, teaching her that life is not built on grades, status, or material things, but on inner peace, self-understanding, and finding one’s own happiness. Later, another person enters her life — more direct and grounded in reality. They become close, and through this friendship Kurisutīna becomes aware of the cruelty, injustice, and emptiness of the world around her. Suddenly, this person disappears, leaving behind only words that linger in her mind. Kurisutīna continues attending school, but slowly begins to understand the meaning of those words. Eventually, she runs away from home to truly discover herself. During her journey, she encounters situations that reveal both the good and evil of humanity. Each experience helps her confront her fears, emotions, and desires. Step by step, Kurisutīna begins to understand who she is — realizing that the answers she was searching for in others had always existed within her.
