Manga Story

Scrolling through the video suggestions on YouTube, Yukiko saw a mix of video games, sexy girls, and concert videos on the app. Suddenly, her cat, Battleaxe, appeared and rubbed against the phone, nearly knocking it out of her hand. Battleaxe was a brown and gray American Bobtail with a round face and fluffy tail. "What's up, Battleaxe?" Yukiko said as she reached out to pat the cat on the head. Yukiko Daidōji, 14, had shoulder-length dark, wavy hair and a tanned complexion with round rosy cheeks and big bright eyes. She was already wearing her school uniform and a mischievous look about her, as she sat on her brother’s bed with a phone in hand. The bedroom was small, with just enough space for a twin-sized bed, a nightstand, and a dresser. The walls were adorned with posters of punk rock bands and flyers for local concerts. A guitar case sat in the corner next to a pile of music magazines. Just then, her older brother, Masashi Daidōji, 17, shouted from the other room. "Yukiko, have you seen my phone!?" Yukiko called back, "No."
